Higher resolution images without the embossing are available to the musicians, artists, and public figures who appear on

images are available only by contract.

I would like to thank the following promoters and venues for not prohibiting the taking of pictures during many of the shows
represented on this website:

Second Wind Productions in Schenectady and Albany, NY.
The Northeast Blues Society, Blues Print magazine, Buzz magazine and  Vintage Rock.com.
QE2, Pauley's Hotel, the Blockhouse Beef & Brew, JB's Theater & Northern Lights.
The New York State Office of General Services for shows at the Empire State Plaza, Albany NY.
The New York State Police for maintaining safety and security at the concerts at the Plaza.
The City of Albany Police Department for security at the Corning Preserve Hudson Riverfront Park.
The City of Albany, NY, in particular Mayor Jerry Jennings and the Parks Department and volunteers.
The City of Schenectady, NY, and the Parks Department staff at Central Park.
The Village of Scotia, NY, and the staff at Freedom Park.
The City of Saratoga Springs, NY.
The City of Troy, NY.

I also want to thank the following venues which customarily prohibit photography for granting special permission or
allowing public photography during certain events:
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs, NY, especially for the annual Jazz Festival.
Proctor's Theatre, Schenectady, NY.
The Palace Theatre, Albany, NY, and especially Jethro Tull.
The Van Dyk, rest in peace, Schenectady, NY, and especially the Jefferson Starship and Wishbone Ash.
Warren Haynes for Mountain Jam, Hunter Mountain, NY, and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
The Gathering of the Vibes during the 2003 visit to Mariaville, NY.
Bethel Woods at the 1969 Woodstock Festival site, the best new venue in the entire state.
The Chapel at Union College, Schenectady, NY, the best sounding venue I have ever heard anywhere in the world.  In fact,
it's too quiet to take pictures during the classical concerts without everyone in the place hearing the shutter click.

I also want to thank the corporate and private sponsors of the many free events represented here.  I have become a fan of
many musicians from all around the world because of these shows.  I appreciate the artists who play at these public
venues.   Winning over a crowd of people who may not even know your name is the mark of a great artist.

I have probably forgotten someone crucial to these events, misspelled someone's name or made some other error or
omission.  Please contact me and I will make corrections.  If you see yourself on these pages and you don't want to be
there, please contact me and your picture will be deleted.  But you look so good, won't you reconsider?

I'm still working on getting links to other websites.  There will be much more to come, including dinosaurs, flowers,  fine art
and stuff I haven't even thought about yet.  The concerts will be updated as long as I can get in with my camera.

I want to apologize to any concert goers who put up with being down in front with a bunch of  photographers.  Down in front
is not always the best place to be;  it can be very uncomfortable and sometimes even dangerous.  Sometimes it's just too
crazy and I have to move back.   I try very hard not to be a distraction because it really distracts me when I see
photographers crawling all over the stage as if they were performing for the audience.  Do I sound jealous?  Perhaps, but in
most cases the concert pictures on the preceding pages were taken without special access.  I get there early for the free
shows, stand a long time and I always have ear plugs.

Almost all of these bands play music that I like.  I don't go to concerts that I know I won't like just for the pictures.  But even
some artists whose music I didn't particularly care for on the radio have made very favorable impressions in concert.  One
thing about my taste in music is certain:  it will grow and expand.  Let's go to a show soon.

                                                                                                                               Sincerely,
                                                                                                                               Stan

Helpful hints:  Forget about using your cell phone to take pictures at
concerts.  Check out Sean Lennon at the Egg in 2007 at the left.
If I didn't tell you it was Sean Lennon you probably couldn't tell, even
if you were there.  (You should have been there:  Sean is an
incredible performer).  But even in a very good seat in a very small
                                                                                            theater the camera phone sucks.
